Data Protection Statement
Protecting the personal data we collect, process, or use when you visit our Internet pages is something we take very seriously, and we would like you to know when we collect data, which data we collect, and how we use it. We have taken all necessary technical and organisational measures to ensure that the provisions of data protection law are observed both by us and by any service providers we may work with.
This Data Protection Statement is intended to inform users of the manner in which, the extent to which, and the purpose for which we collect and use personal data on this website.
The legal basis for data protection is set forth in the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Telemedia Act (TMG).
Data is processed for the purpose of operating this website, including presenting our goods and services, providing related information and subject matter, and contacting you.
Visiting our Internet pages
You can always access our online content anonymously, without disclosing your identity. Every visit to our Internet pages and every retrieval of a file linked to on those pages is, however, automatically logged. This information is stored for internal system-related and statistical purposes. All data transmitted to us by your browser is automatically logged.
It includes, among other information:
- Name of the web page visited
- The quantity of data transmitted
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- The referrer URL—the Internet page you visited previously
- IP address
- Time of the visit
This data cannot generally be associated with any specific person. It is not merged with other data sources. However, we do reserve the right to examine the log data later if material indications show that there is legitimate reason to suspect unlawful use.
Personal data is defined as information about a person that can be used to reveal such identity-related information as names, e-mail addresses, street addresses, telephone numbers, or dates of birth.
Personal data is collected, used, and disclosed only when the law so permits or you consent to its collection.
Requests via our contact form, e-mail
This occurs, for example, when you give information in connection with a request submitted through our contact form or by e-mail. This information is used exclusively for the purpose of getting in touch with you. In the case of orders submitted by e-mail or through our Internet pages, we store your data for the purpose of filling your order and for billing purposes. The data transferred is not disclosed to third parties without your express consent, which you may revoke at any time. One exception to this is disclosure to service provider partners who need such information for order fulfilment purposes (such as the shipping company engaged for a delivery or the bank that will be processing your payment).
You may revoke your consent to the storage of personal data submitted by e-mail or through a contact form at any time with future effect.
We implement the technical and organisational measures necessary to protect your data and prevent its potential misuse by third parties.
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer to help the website analyse how you use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website is usually transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.
However, if IP anonymization is activated on this website Google will first truncate your IP address within EU member states or in other states that are signatories to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is your entire IP address transmitted to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website for the purpose of evaluating how you use the website, compiling reports on website activities, and providing the website operator with further services relating to website and Internet use.
The IP address transmitted by your browser for use by Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data. You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software. However, we would like to point out that if you do so, you may not be able to make full use of all of this website’s functions. You can also prevent Google from collecting and processing the data generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: tools.google.com.
We publish a newsletter to keep you informed of our products and of new content on our Internet pages. If you wish to receive the newsletter, we need a valid e-mail address from you. We use the following method to verify your e-mail address and to confirm that you have consented to receiving the newsletter: Once you have registered with us, we will send an e-mail message containing a request that you click on the link appearing in the body of the message to the address given to us. This will take you back to our Internet page, where you will be informed that your registration is complete. Only then will we permanently store your e-mail address in our system. No other data will be collected. This data is only used to send the newsletter and is not disclosed to third parties. When you register for the newsletter, we also store your IP address and the date of registration. We need this data to prove that we have verified your consent. It also enables us to prevent third parties from making inappropriate use of your e-mail address and registering to receive the newsletter without your knowledge. You may revoke your consent to having your e-mail address stored or used to send the newsletter at any time. You can do so via a link in the newsletters themselves or in a message to one of the contact options listed below.
Inclusion of third-party services and content
Our Internet pages also contain third-party content such as YouTube videos, cartographic material from Google Maps, RSS feeds, and graphics from other web pages. This, however, always results in the transmission of your IP address to such third-party providers so that they can send the content to your browser. An IP address is required for the presentation of such content. We make every effort to use only content from third-party providers who will use your IP address exclusively for the purpose of delivering the content concerned; what they do, however, is beyond our control. Should it come to our attention that a third-party provider is storing your IP address for statistical purposes, for example, we will notify you.
Links to other Internet sites
Some of our Internet pages contain links to other sites. We are responsible neither for how confidential data is handled by these sites nor for their content. We therefore strongly recommend that you read the data protection statements on these sites carefully, as they may differ from our Data Protection Statement.
Right to disclosure and revocation of consent
You have the right to receive, at no charge, disclosure of the personal information about you that we have stored. In addition, you have the right to correct incorrect data, or to block or delete your personal data, provided that doing so does not conflict with any legal duty to retain such data.
You may, within the limits of your legal rights to disclosure, request the personal information about you that is stored here. Simply send an e-mail to the following e-mail address:
